The Fiber Loft

The Fiber Loft was started in 1975 by Reba Maisel as a small weaving studio. It has since expanded to become a full-service knitting, spinning, dyeing, felting, and weaving shop. We carry an extensive selection of gorgeous yarns, representing most of the small and large manufacturers. We also carry local handspun and hand-dyed yarns and spinning fibers as well as unique yarns from across the country.

In 2013, Carrie Brown bought the shop from Reba, who is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement. Carrie plans to continue the tradition of natural fibers, adding more local merchandise as well.

Our staff consists of accomplished fiber artists who can assist you with any of your knitting, weaving, dyeing or spinning questions. We supply our customers with a broad range of services, such as ongoing knitting clubs, classes, and specialty workshops.
