What you'll learn in this adobe class:
This class introduces you to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and is the fastest way for professionals to get up and running on Creative Cloud.
Pre-requisites: Solid computer skills, Mac or PC
Understanding the Creative Cloud:
- Understand how the subscription-based service for Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign works.
- Which programs should be used for which tasks.
- Strengths and weaknesses for each application, print and web publishing.
- Creative Cloud Libraries: Saving files to the cloud for desktop or mobile access.
Adobe InDesign CC:
- Uses for InDesign: Print publishing, interactive apps, and export to PDF.
- Overview of toolbox, panels, page navigation and online help.
- Create new documents and save the new document settings.
- Add pages, set up page sizes and work with columns.
- Place graphics into your pages: What is the right format for imported images?
- Work with text frames with single or multiple columns.
Adobe Illustrator CC:
- Understand the difference between Adobe programs, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat etc.
- Use Adobe Bridge to View, Open & Oragnize.
- Understand the Illustrator interface - windows, panels, tools, & customizing the workspace.
- Create new Illustrator documents.
- Use the Selection and Direct Selection.
- Creating shapes: Oval, Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle, Star and Polygon.
- Add color, swatches and gradients.
- Drawing in Illustrator: Changing colors of existing logos and graphics.
- Importing graphics from Illustrator into InDesign and Photoshop.
Adobe Photoshop CC:
- The differences between Photoshop (raster based) & Illustrator (vector based)
- How Photoshop works with the other programs in the Creative Cloud family
- Resolution: What is the correct PPI for a particular project
- Photoshop color modes: Choose the right mode for the right project.
- Export Photoshop files for web and print.
- Cropping images.
- Understanding Layers and how to manipulate them.
- Make selections to isolate parts of images.
- Change colors in an image with Adjustment layers.
Refund Policy
A $25 administrative fee will be charged on all refund requests.
- The request must arrive greater than 4 business days prior to the course start date.
- No refunds will be provided for requests arriving less than 4 business days prior to the class start date.
Upon receipt of a refund request, students will be provided the option of receiving course credit towards the purchase of another class. If a student elects to receive credit, the administrative fee is not charged, and a voucher for the amount of the applicable class fee will be sent to the student’s email address. If a refund is to be given, the refund will be processed within 72 hours of notice of cancellation.
All classes need at least 3 students to run.
On occasion, a class may cancel due to low enrollment or unforeseen instructor conflicts. If such a case occurs, all students will be refunded less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
We do not take responsibility for non-refundable airline tickets, hotel expenses, or any other costs that may be attributable towards enrolling in a class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
