Gary Hilderbrand, FASLA, FAAR, is a partner of Reed Hilderbrand LLC, recognized for design, craftsmanship, environmental sensitivity, and extraordinary use of plants in renowned landscape designs for the U.S. National Arboretum, the Houston Arboretum, and multiple cultural institutions, including Denver's Clyfford Still Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, and their recent transformation of The Clark Art Institute's 140-acre campus. Professor of Landscape Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he has taught since 1990, Hilderbrand is also an award-winning author and critic, advocating landscape architecture's role in reconciling intellectual and cultural traditions with contemporary forces of urbanization and change.
