Description

Join us for an introductory workshop that will give you a taste of metalsmithing jewelry and the skills to create your own pieces. In this class, you’ll learn to make 2-3 sterling silver or brass stacking rings (or both) to wear home.

What You'll Learn

  • How to size, saw, solder, shape, hammer, and polish metals using tools such as a caliper, jeweler’s saw, files, hammers, and a butane torch.

  • The process of measuring your finger, choosing wire, and cutting it to the right length for your ring design.

  • How to solder the wire, shape it into a perfect-fitting ring using a hammer and mandrel, and polish it until it’s ready to wear.

  • Techniques for adding textures or using pre-patterned wires to make your rings unique.

Supplies and Materials

  • All materials are included, including sterling silver or brass wire, tools, and equipment.

Additional Notes

  • This workshop is perfect for beginners with no prior experience.

  • You will leave with 2-3 stacking rings that you created, as well as the skills to make more jewelry at home.

  • After the class, we will provide resources for setting up your at-home jewelry-making studio if you wish to continue creating.

Refund Policy

You may cancel for a refund up to 21 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable.

We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 4 sign ups. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
