This class will be held remotely through live videoconferencing.

Brian Asher’s Investment Planning workshops—one of Westside Extension’s original offerings in 1995—are still immensely popular today. Since 1985, through all kinds of economic environments, Brian has empowered investors to make intelligent investment decisions, implement informed strategies, and manage risk. Increase the likelihood of a better financial future using common sense and independent thinking, and learn how to take advantage of market fluctuations, increasing the potential for profit. It’s never too late to benefit from Brian’s wealth of knowledge and experience.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

Refund or transfer requests may be granted ONLY if you notify the Westside Extension Office AT LEAST 5 DAYS BEFORE CLASS BEGINS that you wish to cancel. This applies to any and all changes to the original registration – including transfers and credits. Refunds, transfers, or credits CANNOT be granted once class begins and CANNOT be issued for absences or if you register within five days of class. Some camps and off-campus classes have different refund policies as noted.

Notification of cancellation may be done by phone, in person, by mail or email. Refunds or transfers must be processed by the Extension office – you cannot do it yourself online. A processing charge will be deducted for each class refund or transfer, except for classes canceled by Westside Extension. The standard processing fee is $10 but some camps and classes (like Pharmacy Technician classes) have higher processing fees (Pharmacy Technician processing fee is $50). If you paid by credit card, your account will be credited. If you paid by cash, check or money order, you will receive a check refund (allow 4 weeks for processing). A credit toward other Westside Extension classes may be issued in lieu of a refund if you wish.

A full refund or credit will of course be given when a class is cancelled by Westside Extension.

Do I receive a certificate after attending all classes?

Hi there! This course does not automatically include a certificate; however, the student may purchase a certificate of completion from the Westside Extension office – cost is $5. The student should contact the office and pay the fee, and then they will verify attendance with the instructor and contact the student once the certificate is ready for pick up/mail. Hope this helps!

This was a great class!! Brian Asher was insanely knowledgable and a really engaging instructor. I wish I had taken a course like this 20 years ago, I would have made far better decisions with my money. I think the instructor really makes a difference in a course like this. He made the information come alive. I would not hesitate to take more courses with him. Plus he’s hilarious!

Brian is awesome! He breaks difficult material down in an easy to understand way. I’ve kearned a lot from the course. Probably will repeat it at some point as a lot of material is covered.
