Design Thinking Workshop

Design Thinking is an approach organizations use to better understand the needs of people in order to create the most innovative and intuitive products. This creative problem-solving approach stresses the importance of empathy, focuses on the experiences of end users, and integrates an iterative process as part of the final product. Great design doesn’t happen within the four walls of a studio or office. It happens in collaboration with people and in deep consideration of their complex needs.

This introductory workshop will cover the basics of Design Thinking by walking through the overall framework, covering integral case studies, and diving into exercises that can be immediately applied to your projects. It will explore how Design Thinking can help develop innovative solutions to complex challenges you face as business people, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, and global citizens.

Preparation

• You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
