Kathleen Costello Bar-Tur, LCSW, FIPA (Co-Chair) is a Psychoanalyst, Divorce & Family Mediator and Collaborative Divorce Professional. In 2006 Kathleen founded The New York Center for Divorce and Family Mediation in New York. Kate is currently serving second terms on the Board of NYSCDM and on the Board of FamilyKind.

She is a Past Director of the Clinical Center at IPTAR. Kate is a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Society (IPA). Her other memberships and affiliations include: APFM (founding member); AFCC; IACP; FDMCGNY; Ackerman Institute; Center for Training and Mediation; and the Center for Understanding Based Mediation.

Kate has presented at numerous conferences on varied topics, e.g.: “But I’m Not a Bad Parent Really: What Mediators Need to Know about Parent Education” with James Grimaldi at John Jay College. June 2015; “Mediating Prenuptial, Postnuptial & No-Nuptial Agreements: Psychology & the Law” with Deborah Wayne, APFM
