Class Description

Description

What you'll learn in this jewelry design class:

Jewelry is the accessory that leaves the most room for expression, and it’s this expression that helped Gena find her creative niche between timeless and contemporary design. The wire looping and wrapping that Gena specializes in creates pieces that are exciting, inspiring, and honest. Each piece pulls together an array of mediums, like precious stones and clay beads, with a wire design that maintains a sense of individuality and a well-balanced image.

In this class, you will learn how to use your personal taste to create your own handmade pieces. Getting wrapped up in these wire designs opens you to endless personalized fashion combinations.

In this class, is a basic jewelry construction course focusing on two fundamental designs: a statement necklace and a pair of hanging earrings. This class is designed for students with no previous experience and eagerness to create something entirely new.

Students will be introduced to all of the hand tools necessary for wire design, and each student will use these tools to create a loop, a single/double wrap, interlinking beads, headpins and end closures.

You’ll take home a necklace and earrings with you at the end of the class.
