This course will cover cuttlefish bone and sand casting. Students are able to create fully formed jewelry or components ready to incorporate into larger designs.

There will be a $20 kit available at the first class. Bring your own metal and dress appropriately for casting.

Direct Casting
Reviewed by Maxine B. on 8/5/2019
MJ exceeded all expectations as a teacher. I was nervous to start casting, but as soon as I got over it, she helped me complete every project I had in mind-- plus a few more. She and the TA managed to make sure everyone was on the right track, but never in a rushed or overcomplicated way. I'm really glad I took this class. The possibilities of what someone can make in this class, and also what they can expand on from this class, are really vast.
