In this two-hour session you will become familiar with using a TIG machine. We will cover how to choose the right tungsten for the job, set the gauge, use the foot pedal, and weld. While you are learning, you can create a small steel sculpture to take home. We will discuss the many advantages of TIG welding when setting up a shop. Tig welding is a popular method used in bicycle frames.
Prerequisite:

Note: Safety is a priority. The torch and tools will be sanitized before each class. We will all wear masks. This is a common practice even when welding during normal conditions. Please bring your own mask to the class. Latex gloves are provided to wear under the welding gloves if you desire.
