Description
What you'll learn in this watercolor class:
A one-day intensive to get acquainted (or reacquainted) with watercolor painting. Suitable for beginners or anyone looking for a refresher on watercolor fundamentals. Compared to other painting traditions, watercolor is more flexible, portable, and affordable. And it is also beautiful! Watercolor can be a challenge to get started with, though, so take this workshop to get you going in the right direction.
If you already have watercolor paints, brushes, and/or paper, bring them to class—this way you can learn using what you already own.
Recommended supplies:
- Tube or pan watercolor paints, at least three primary colors plus a dark brown or gray. Artist-grade recommended. If you are buying new paints, I suggest the “Essentials" set from Daniel Smith, or the "Introductory 6 Set” from Qor.
- Watercolor paper with cotton content. I recommend Fabriano brand. The “Studio” series 140lb or 90lb cold press pads are a good affordable option.
- At least one decent quality watercolor brush. I recommend a synthetic round brush between sizes 8-12. A good one to look for is size 10 Princeton "Snap" brush. (Other brush shapes and sizes are also useful.)

If you aren't able to attend a course that you've enrolled in, please reach out to us as soon as you know, at the very least 72 hours before the start of the first session of the course, and we can issue you a course credit in the amount of the tuition paid to take a different session. In the event of cancellation within 72 hours of the start of the first session or a no-show, the course fee is forfeit, and we can only issue a course credit at our discretion.
If a course is cancelled or dates are changed by us, you will be entitled to a course credit to enroll in a different section, or a full refund—your choice.
