Description

What you'll learn in this handbuilding class:

This is a perfect class for Potters to grow and expand on your handbuilding skills. During this session, The instructor will teach you advanced techniques of how to hand build & glaze your own ceramic pieces.

This session includes access to tools, studio equipment, aprons, towels, etc. Students will have their own shelf area to store their clay & pieces

Projects that we’ll focus:

Large Scale Slab Building
Marbling
Coiled Baskets
Slab Boxes
Working with Textures, Inlay & Slip
Pouring vessels & sets (teapot/coffee pot with lids, coffee cone & mugs that sit together as a set)

Students will receive

(1) 25lb bag of WHITE clay to use during the session. Additional colors available to purchase.
(1) 1/4 pint of white slip, which can you add mason stains to.
(1) contrasting ball of clay

Prerequisite: Preferred for students to have a background in handbuilding as we will be moving fast.

Please Note:

This class is BYOB - We will provide tea, coffee and some snacks.
Bring clothing that you are comfortable in as well as okay with getting dirty.
