This TAC at Home workshop introduces students to the world of beautiful, accessible, and sustainable botanical dyes. We’ll cover the basics of preparing fibers, extracting color from plant materials, and using mordants in our first session. Students will be able to use this information for 2-4 hours of at-home dyeing before our second session of Q+A. Kitchen-foraged dye materials are encouraged, or students can opt to purchase a kit of materials at the time of registration.
Supplies, Equipment, Safety, & General Rules
Wear clothing and shoes that you do not care about staining. All dyeing tools must be craft-dedicated (not borrowed from the kitchen).

Cancellations made 3 or more days in advance will receive a full credit for a rescheduled date with this provider
For all Adult & Youth cancellations, we are unable to refund processing fees collected at the time of registration by our third-party class registration software Active. Any credit or refunds will be for the cost of the class only.
For Adult Student Cancellations: Please double check your calendar before signing up for a class! Our small team works very hard throughout the year to schedule each class and coordinate with our students. When you register for a spot in one of our classes, you are reserving a seat and committing to join us for that date and time. If for some reason you need to cancel a class you’ve signed up for, please note the following policies:
At least one month before class: Students may receive full refund or credit to a future class at TAC, minus a $25 processing fee for Morning/Evening Series, Weekend Intensive, One Day Classes and 4-Week Classes, and a $10 processing fee for After Workshops.
Less than one month before class: Students may receive credit only to a future class at TAC, minus a $25 processing fee for Morning/Evening Series, Weekend Intensive, and 4-Week Classes, One Day Classes and a $10 processing fee for After Workshops. We are unable to offer refunds with less than one month notice.
All requests for refunds or class credits must be made in writing via email to [email protected] In addition to the timing guidelines above, we of course appreciate as much notice as possible when making any adjustments to registrations.
Coursehorse students will need to contact Coursehorse directly about cancellations or refunds. TAC cancellation policy will apply.
All classes, workshops, special events, and gift certificates are non-transferable. No refunds will be given on Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates are valid for (1) one year from the date of purchase.
