What you'll learn in this bag class:

This classy wool tote is so easy to make, and so much fun to embellish! 

Join Nancy for an afternoon of embellishment, and then come back for the bag construction once your bag is decorated. We will provide a wide assortment of fabric scraps, ribbon, buttons, embroidery threads and more that students can use to embellish their bags, but feel free to bring some of your own as well.

You don't have to worry about your home sewing machine being capable of sewing multiple layers of this 1/4" thick wool, the BERNINA's in our classroom are up to the task!

Beginner. Must know how to use a sewing machine.

A Wool Carry All Tote Bag Kit and a variety of embellishments are included with the class. 

BERNINA sewing machines, cutting mats, neutral thread and irons will be provided for use in the classroom.

Required supplies to bring with you (all supplies available for purchase at Gotham Quilts): 
  • Assorted fabric, ribbon, felt, buttons, embroidery thread, etc. (optional) 
  • Fabric/Thread scissors 
  • Wonder Clips 
  • Seam ripper 
  • Marking pen/pencil 
  • Stilleto (optional
