What you'll learn in this sewing class:
We’ve gone wild for Jelly Roll Rugs here at Gotham Quilts! Did you know you can use fabric and cotton batting to sew accessories like rugs and placemats?
This class teaches all the steps to make a Jelly Roll Rug while making scaled-down versions of the pattern that make perfect placemats. You can then use the skills you’ve learned to make an entire set of placemats or a large rug.
Must know how to use a sewing machine and sew a 1/4″ seam
Cutting mats, BERNINA sewing machines, neutral thread, and irons will be provided for use in the classroom.
Required supplies to bring with you (all supplies available for purchase on location):

- Jelly Roll Rug Pattern
- One Jelly Roll OR the equivalent amount of fabric cut into 2.5″ strips
- Crib size (45″ x 60″) cotton batting
- Wonder clips (optional but very helpful)
- Rotary cutter
