Description
What you'll learn in this sewing & textile class:
Summer is coming, and this class is the perfect opportunity to make yourself a stylish and comfy wardrobe. We'll start by making the pants or skirt together, and then using the skills you've learned with us, you can go forward and create the whole look!
This pattern comes with all sizes included, so we encourage students to have a Mommy/Daughter learning experience with us to make matching outfits together! Of course, solo adults are welcome to the class as well. This class is beginner-friendly!
We'll start with the basics of using your sewing machine to get you comfortable before we move on to body measurements for sizing, cutting fabric from a sewing pattern, and following a commercial pattern for garment construction. Whether you've never touched a sewing machine before, want a bit of help with commercial patterns, or are looking for a way to share a love of sewing with your little one, this class is for you!
PROJECT: Elastic waist summer pants or skirt
FABRIC AND SUPPLIES: You'll need a sewing machine, thread, pins, ruler, tailors chalk, tracing wheel and tracing paper. You can source your own supplies or purchase one of our tool kits under the "Supplies" page for $59. Cotton fabric will also be needed, and you can purchase on your own or through our website for an additional cost at $10 per yard. The sewing pattern will be supplied and shipped upon registration.
Refund Policy
- You must give at least 4 business days notice to cancel your enrollment in the class, for a refund less a 5% cancellation fee.
- Once the class has started, we can no longer offer refunds.
- In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
