What you'll learn in this cupcake class:
Pipe the perfect cupcake! In this class students color their frostings, learn to work with a piping bag, learn basic piping skills, and how to combine techniques! Take home six cupcakes in the provided box.
Cupcake Decorating 101 is great for absolute beginners looking to learn the basics of working with a piping bag, beginner piping skills, and dipping your toes into the decorating world!
You Will Learn:
- How to work with American Buttercream
- Various piping techniques including; stars, zig-zags, ruffles & Rosettes
- To work with multiple piping tips
- To work with edible food coloring
- How to apply these techniques to your cupcakes

Refund Policy
NY Cake Academy classes are not eligible for refunds, however they are transferable. Students reserve the right to reschedule their class to an alternative date or time up until 7 days prior to the class date.
You may choose to give your place in class to another student. Please let us know in advance so we can have our paperwork in order. Class time may not be split up though. The same student will be enrolled in all days of a multi-day class.
All deposits & fees are forfeited for no shows.
Class Policies:
Classes will begin on time so please be sure to allow enough time to arrive and prepare prior to the start of the class. The studio will be open to students 15 minutes prior to beginning of class to allow for set up. Classes occasionally run over time, please let the instructor know if you need to leave early or immediately at the end of class so they can plan for it.
We do not provide make-up classes.
