Question from SidneyB
I took a class where it was somewhat hands on. Do you get your own Station to work or do you share the work with others (i.e. like a community table)?
Answer from Mathew H. Verified Student
It depends on how many people sign up I believe. When my wife and I did it, we got our own table, but I think there was supposed to be another coupe of people that, had they shown up, they would have shared a table. But everyone still makes their own croissants.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Sidney! The classes usually are set by a group of 4 people working together. Hope this helps!

The course was fun. The class size was perfect giving you enough time with the instructor to ask questions and really learn. The croissants and pastries were delicious and we left with enough to last a couple of days. If you're looking for a cooking class to take part in, this is definitely a fun one that isn't too expensive either.

The croissants were delicious, and it was good to learn the techniques. The recipe isn't provided until the end of class, though, so there wasn't an opportunity to follow along and take notes.

Whenever I come to NYC to visit my daughter we always like to try something new. This time we chose the croissant class and we were very pleased with our choice. Chef Jennifer made something that always seemed to be intimidating, very easy with the right steps. We made 4 different types of croissants and each were delicious. We had a great time, met new people, and left with boxes of croissants to share with my daughters roommates.

The recipe that they handed out was not very good or precise and the teacher needed some work on presentation and clarity. (He was hard to understand.) Honestly, the croissants that came out were tasty, but did not look that great. It was a nice group though.

Excellent class. The instructor was very good, and was quite willing (and able) to answer specific questions. I would recommend this course to anyone, especially true beginners such as I was (am).
