What you'll learn in this culinary (meals) class:

Please join us for a special class, hosted by Talia Koren, the founder of the popular Workweek Lunch meal prep program (@workweeklunch). 

In this class you'll learn valuable tips to help you reduce waste, save money and create meals you’ll actually look forward to eating (that also store and reheat well). She’ll also cover best meal prep practices, including what containers to use, how to make a realistic meal plan and different ways to fit meal prep into your life. 

In addition to learning new recipes, you’ll walk away with an in-depth how to packet to walk you through meal prep step by step as well as more recipes and ideas. 

We’ll cover: 

  • How can meal prep reduce food waste? Learn to use up everything you buy at the store each week. 
  • Easy meal templates: Stir fries, sheet pan meals, curries, frittatas and pasta meals are all easy meal templates you can switch up over and over again to avoid food boredom. 
  • Prepping with your pantry: which pantry ingredients to keep on hand that work well in meal prep 
  • How can I make meal prep work for me? How to plan ahead within your current busy schedule. 

WE'LL COOK (and discuss multiple variation of):

  • Tomato, Spinach, and Sausage Pan Dinner with Orzo 
  • Orange Ginger Tofu with Green Beans and Corn with Rice Noodles
  • Sheet Pan Jerk Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Red Cabbage

School Notes:
You’ll receive a complete recipe packet and enjoy a full sit-down meal at the end of class with your classmates. Our classes are BYOB, and you are welcome to bring a bottle to share at the sit-down meal.

Our classes are hands-on, coupled with demonstration-style teaching. Everyone is situated at their own cutting board/chef’s knife station around a large wooden worktable that accommodates the whole class (10 people max). We work together as a group, with the chef at the head of the table.

We focus on knife skills, preparing ingredients for cooking, and we strive to find every opportunity to offer you a hands-on experience at the stove and at your station, all within the spacial parameters of a single stove/family-style kitchen. We ask for volunteers to assist in all cooking.

We have a firm 48-hour cancellation policy to ensure that we have enough time to re-fill your seat with another student. For cancellations prior to the 48-hour mark, we are happy to offer credit for a future class.

While it is not in our nature to say no, we are not able to offer credit/refund for last-minute illnesses or work-related conflicts. However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, because we understand these things do happen.
