Description
What you'll learn in this kids sewing class:
A daytime class for elementary, middle or high school aged children who home school.
Unlike sewing-only courses, The Fashion Class provides a big-picture introduction to fashion, art and design in our daytime courses just for the home school community!
We welcome students to join this hands on class that touches on marketing, entrepreneurship, retail math, textile science, and fashion history all while students learn to sew by hand and with a sewing machine.
Students will spend three weeks on illustration and design, two weeks on hand sewing, three weeks on machine sewing and three weeks on marketing and entrepreneurship in this eleven week course. Sewing classes will focus on real clothing and accessory projects that they can take home and wear!
Our large and fully equipped studio is located in the heart of the garment district, with two classrooms and all supplies included. Parents are welcome to join the class, wait during class or drop off.
Each child works with our professional instructors, on their own project at their own pace. Our student/teacher ratio is 6:1 during sewing class time and our studio has ten sewing machines for a class of ten students.
Please Note:
- All supplies are included in our fee and all students keep their creations.
- Classes have no more than 10 students and are always taught by a professional designer who loves to sew plus a teaching assistant.

Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows:
Cancellations made 3 or more days in advance will receive a full credit for a rescheduled date with this provider

Classes & Workshops
Your child's registration can be transferred to another class time or day with one week notice (based on availability). Should you need to cancel your child's registration for any reason one week prior to the start date of the class The Fashion Class will process a refund (less the non-refundable 30% deposit and CourseHorse fees) within 10 business days. Cancellations made with less than 1-week notice will forfeit the class fee.
Camps
Your child's registration can be transferred to another class time or day with three weeks notice (based on availability). Deposits/payment cannot be transferred to another student. Should you need to cancel your child's registration for any reason one month prior to the start date of camp The Fashion Class will process a refund (less the non-refundable deposit and CourseHorse fees) within 10 business days.
o 15-30 days until the session start date, 50% refund
o 2 weeks prior to start of camp session, 25% refund
