Talk: Spanish for Lower Intermediates

No More Dull Grammar Rules! Our Spanish conversation sessions are designed to give you a unique opportunity to practice speaking Spanish conversation in a freely, interactive, non-judgmental setting. Whether you are just starting out and feeling very self-conscious, or you are comfortable speaking but haven’t achieved the fluency you desire, we have a level for you. You will have fun, be challenged, and most important of all, you will TALK through the entire session and flex your linguistic muscles. After just a couple of sessions, you will be amazed how quickly your Spanish conversation skills are growing The sessions are conducted weekly and are available live online on a drop-in, no-strings-attached basis.

Intermediates speakers can understand the main ideas of complex texts on various topics. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular communication with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can converse on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on topical issue clarifying the pros and cons of different options.

Spanish language learners meet weekly via Zoom for an hour-long session, except for Intermediates speakers that meet for 90 minutes. During the sessions, a main topic is presented using audio-visual or written material. Vocabulary and social and cultural cues are explained by the language coach to prepare students for the talks. Afterward, all participants engage in stimulating conversations to discuss the material presented to them.
