Shakespeare is for scholars, the Impressionists are for intellectuals, and Foucault is for fancy folks. The Ivory Tower is chock full of classics, but who gets to enjoy them? Caveat is bringing the party to the ivory tower with interactive deep dives, party games, live acts, and experts subverting the snobbery of so-called high art. We might do a keg stand to a Chopin song, try to shut us down.
The Surrealists knew how to throw a damn party- Dali said "I don't DO drugs, I AM drugs, Leonora Carrington put on a ball gown and drank in corners with hyenas, and Peggy Guggenheim slept with LITERALLY everyone (and wrote a whole book about it).
Surrealist art is now part of all major museums' collections, and experts with multiple PhDs lecture on their influences, their disputed works, and their intentions - but here at Party at the Ivory Tower, we're bringing the art back to the wild, swinging Surrealist days - the parties that made you question reality itself! Come melt some clocks, get apple-faced, and we'll get to the bottom of what a pipe isn't.
