What you'll learn in this tour class:

Step aboard the 1920s style yacht Manhattan and witness the city's beauty and elegance, while enjoying some festive live jazz!

On this cruise you may hear anything from jazz standards by Gershwin, Cole Porter and Duke Ellington, to new renditions of Motown songs, R&B grooves and hits from today!

Highlights during this groovy cruise include:

  • Battery Park and the Financial District
  • Governor's Island, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
  • Parts of Brooklyn and Queens and the New York City skyline
  • Waterfront views of Hudson Yards, the Vessel and Times Square!

Key Points:

  • Health and Safety modifications during the Covid Pandemic: Reduced Capacity, Facial Masks required, Large Private Assigned Tables divided by Plexiglass Panes, newly installed MERV 13 HEPA filters.

Our Jazz Trio will be stationed outside the salon of Manhattan with our main salon doors wide open. Though the Main Salon is heated, plan for cool temperatures during our Fall/Winter/Spring Jazz Cruises due to the doors being open. Bring warm Coats, hats, gloves and a lap blanket. (We'll have plenty of warm beverages ready!)

  • One complimentary beer, wine, Champagne or soda is included with each ticket. Additional drinks are available for purchase by credit card onboard. *Please note: Food is required with alcoholic beverage service. We will have food selections available for purchase onboard with options ranging from $4-$10.

Question from [email protected]
Regarding the Jazz cruise Manhattan, concerned about getting seasick as I have never taken a cruise. Did get sick on a fishing boat. Please let me know.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
It is uncommon for their guests to experience seasickness, though those who are prone to it are advised to consider preventative measures of their choosing. (i.e sea sickness compression wrist bands, which are available for purchase at check-in).

Question from andreea m.
Is it wheelchair accessible? thanks
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
If the use of a manual wheelchair is required for boarding, they would like to coordinate your ticket purchase to ensure that you are purchasing for a date and a time when the Yacht Manhattan II is operating. This is the most ‘accessible’ vessel and the most regularly used vessel. It has a ramp for boarding but will require a 2-4 person lift of the guest over a 6-inch gap between the boarding platform and the deck of the boat. They are accustomed to doing this but prefer to have a discussion prior to your arrival.

Hi there! You are welcome to bring your own food or non-alcoholic beverages aboard, even if you are on a trip where food is provided or available for purchase.

I’ve lived here for over 10 years and I wanted to try something new. This did not disappoint. Great crew, jazz band and company. Relaxing, fun, and surprisingly not casual (cocktail party attire).
