Tango for Pre-Intermediates

Tango Pre-Intermediate classes consist of one hour and 1:15 minutes duration.

You will do from simple to complex Tango exercises, solo or with a partner. Classes are very challenging for the intensity and pace.

Every month you will learn a specific theme and every week will you learn a specific subject, covering the most important tango combinations used in the dance floor.

You will immerse yourself in the traditional culture of the dance, including learning more advanced traditional moves, how to dance to different rhythms within traditional tango music, comprehension, and improvisation. You may test directly into intermediate or graduate from the beginner lesson. Increased emphasis is placed upon traditional steps and sequences which express traditional tango. You will feel comfortable dancing at a milonga (traditional social dance)!

Strictly Tango NYC welcomes and includes everyone who wants to learn Tango. Gender (or gender identity) is not attached to the dance role (leader vs. follower). Diversity and sexual orientation are respected at our school.
