Refund Policy
Students MUST submit a detailed written request to withdraw from a course, which CourseHorse will then forward on to the school. The request must state the reason of cancellation.

Refunds or credits are available: Full refund or credit if request to withdraw is made 3 business days before the first class session. 50% refund or credit if request to withdraw is made before the second class session. After the second class session no refunds or credits will be granted.

No refunds or credits will be issued for classes that meet four sessions or fewer. Classes include seminars, intensives and workshops.

All refunds will have a $25 processing fee deducted from the course refund as well as a $20 registration fee ($45 total).

When Baruch College cancels a course, refunds are made automatically. If for any reason the department cancels a session, then a make-up session will be offered.

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must notify the CAPS Office in writing. Failure to complete a course, ceasing to attend class, notifying the instructor of your desire to withdraw, or general dissatisfaction with a course does not constitute a withdrawal and does not entitle you to a refund. Instructors are not permitted OR able to process withdrawals, transfers or refunds.

If a student misses a session, the department unfortunately does not authorize the student to make up that missed session in another section. If the instructor informs the student to visit another section of his class, then that is between the student and the instructor.

Question from Anonymous
If you are already in the industry, would this course be helpful? Or is this just for students wishing to know more about the industry?
Answer from Anonymous
The class is going to be a general survey and will focus each session on the main systems in a building and what you should know about them, from a facilities management (tenant and guest-oriented vs. owner oriented perspective).
Question from Anonymous
Am trying to know if I can I have an invitation for this course as I am presently in Nigeria and am the facility and fleet manager of my company. This course will help my career growth.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi there! If a student wishes to enter the US on a tourist visa and study leisurely (not in the completion of a program or on a fulltime basis (15-20 hours per week), the option is yours. As per tourist visa status, your primary purpose in the U.S. should be for cultural interest. Baruch College does not require a visa, but they send this to you to advise you of the potential issue. However, it is your decision and you may register. No invitation is needed.
Question from Anonymous
Does this class provide actual certified facilities management certificate?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
A grade letter is provided after the completion of an individual course. A certificate is provided after the completion of a series of courses listed under that specific certificate program.
