Question from Leonard H.
Do I need to purchase the program? Will I be able to purchase a student version of the software? I don't need to be 'enrolled' if this is the only class I am taking?
Answer from Georgia C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Leonard! School computers are equipped with the software, so you don't need to download/purchase anything. In order for CourseHorse to reserve your seat in the class, you need to book online and pay via credit card or PayPal. We do not recommend just showing up in class without a reservation (even if you are planning to pay in cash).

Frank has great command of the material he is teaching, but struggles to attend to a group of students who are progressing at different rates.

Instructor was too fast. No real takeaways.

The desks were set up so that half the class had their backs to the front instructional screen. Many students including myself were frustrated that we could not work on our computers & see The screen at the Front of the Room at the same time. I felt like it was hard to follow along when I had to keep turning around. The teacher blazed through the program & several students complained that he was going too fast. He had no hand outs to refer to & had no homework week to week so it was hard to review what we had been taught. There was no tech person accompanying him so it was only him teaching & giving one on one instruction. When many of us had to ask for help (this was an introductory course) he wasn’t able to help us all & he became frustrated that he couldn’t just continue with the lesson. I’m pretty disappointed with the class & truthfully expected more. If he at least had handouts that would have been helpful to refer to as he rushed through & I read this complaint about the class prior to taking the course. Prior to the first class I was on the phone for almost an hour trying to get through to someone at the school to tell me 1) Is this class for PC or Mac? 2) What do I need to bring to class? A laptop? A usb? When I finally called a different Dept just to get a real person they finally put me in touch with someone in continuing education. Then that person couldn’t answer my questions. I would not recommend this class to other beginners. Really only if you are already seasoned in 3D is this class appropriate.

Amrapali was a great instructor! I would suggest if you see some one is the class is learning quicker then others you incentivize that person to assist the instructor and give them a discount off the advance/intermediate follow up course so she can cover more ground in the 3 classes.
