What you'll learn in this audio software training:
In this intensive three-day boot camp, you will learn the essentials to creating compelling audio stories. On-campus course time will be devoted to working with professional equipment, learning how to write for radio, editing in Adobe Audition, and developing a winning audio package.
This course is designed for journalists and storytellers with little to no experience audio but with a passion for narrative and reporting in the audio form. Participants will leave with concrete skills and the elements for one complete audio story.

Day One
- Introduction to Process & Review of our 12 Step Check List
- Interview technique
- Intro to Tascam DR-100 mklll
- Record vox pop audio
- Introduction to Adobe Audition
- Edit vox pop audio with short host intro
- Critique of vox pop
- Reporting for 3:00 minute piece, per pre-reporting with instruction team
- Import Audio for 3:00 piece, write script
- Edit 3:00 piece with narration
- Listening party with critique
Refund Policy
Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance of the class will be honored with a full refund. Students who cancel less than 48 hours prior to the start time of the class will receive a credit towards a future class.
