What you'll learn in this mobile application development training:

Learn the basics of mobile developing in iOS while creating your own iPhone apps.

No prior coding experience necessary! Now that the majority of web browsing takes place on cell phones, mobile development has become more prevalent than ever. In this introductory course, students will explore concepts in mobile engineering by creating an interactive iPhone app.

Beginners are welcome, as well as advanced students who have taken other programming courses.

What you will learn

Learn how to use Swift, an intuitive language created by Apple to build iPhone apps. In this new course, students will work together to build apps using XCode, the industry's standard tool for iOS development. With so many open-ended possibilities, students will have the tools to build apps for what they care about most.

Required Materials

Students must bring a Mac computer to participate in our iOS course.

  • MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, late 2008), (13-inch, early 2009 or later)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, mid/late 2007 or later), (17-inch, late 2007 or later)

Refund Policy
Flatiron has a strict refund policy due to the high costs of hardware, software, facilities and staff resources. A non-refundable, non-transferable 25% of tuition is required per course, per participant.

Payments, less the non-refundable amount, are refundable until 4 weeks (31 days) prior to the start of the confirmed course start date.

No refund will be issued for cancellations or withdrawals within the 31 days of the start of the confirmed course start date.

A $35 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds.
