New York Soccer Skills

New York Soccer Skills is the brainchild of a group of local professional soccer coaches who saw the need for high-quality soccer coaching in the 4-10 age group. While there are a lot of fun soccer options available in NYC, most of them don't provide players with structured soccer education and fundamental skills development. Yet this is a formative age that can make or break a child's future relationship with the game.

We believe that sessions should be fun & engaging, while also teaching players the core technical fundamentals of soccer. We follow an age-appropriate technical curriculum. Some of the skills covered include; turning, dribbling (ball magician), passing, shooting, 1v1 moves, and ball control.

We provide soccer educational classes to children aged 4-10. We focus on creating an engaging, exciting environment where young players can learn, grow & develop in the game of soccer. Our classes are suitable for beginners & intermediate players. Our classes are curriculum-based and cover the core foundational areas of; ball control, dribbling, turning, passing, 1v1s and shooting. NYSS coaches adapt the curriculum to each player and meet each individual exactly where they are.

NYSS coaches are soccer educators. In addition to holding recognized USSF, NSCAA or international soccer licenses, our staff are also experienced in connecting, challenging and motivating players of all ages and skill levels. Our philosophy is to create a positive and fun (yet structured) learning environment where players can grow, develop and thrive.
