Students at Jazzercise classes generally describe the classes as fun and welcoming, with instructors who are supportive and nonjudgmental. Students appreciate that the instructor provides general feedback rather than calling out individual mistakes, which helps them feel less embarrassed. The curriculum is deemed repetitive, making it easier to follow the steps with time. Students also mention that the class provides a good workout, with the intensity level being determined by individual effort. Direct quotes: - "The teacher was nice, she doesn't finger point you if you did wrong/working the wrong muscles, she mentions it in general... I think that made me feel less embarrassed." - "Overall though, if you go there with an open mind, relax and let loose, 80-85% of the time you should be able to follow the steps because they're repetitive." - "Some of the moves were quite rapid so I would usually get lost. I did feel out of place but I got less and less conscious of how silly I looked and more and more focused on whether I was working the right area." - "You do work out your muscles quite a bit, as for the intensity, it's really up to you, if you swing your arms more rigorously, and give the added spring in jumps, you're going to get more out of the class than walking through everything."
