  I truly enjoyed the class yesterday, I haven't knitted in years & little by little it came back to me. Darren my instructor was very patient & made me feel quite comfortable, looking forward to showing him my 1st project & looking forward to Knitting 2

  Darrin is a great teacher - knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and encouraging. There were only 5 people in the class so he gave us plenty of individual attention. I'm slow to pick up new knitting skills but Darrin is very good at making you want to learn and not feel like a complete idiot. Lion Brand is a wonderful shop so the atmosphere is very pleasant. I'm going back for another class as soon as I master the skills I just learned.

  Although I was a little more advanced than a true beginner, I loved this Knitting 1 class. I was able to work with the shop to switch my scheduled class day and ended up taking a later class with Edita. She was fabulous! So patient and kind with a levels of abilities. I am absolutely going to sign up for another class with her!

  Perfect for beginners! They also provide you with the needles and yarn you used in the class, and a pattern (which requires some more yarn, but they explain how to read and understand a yarn label) so that you really can go from zero to “basic cowl creator” in one class.

  Really solid class for obtaining the very basics to start knitting. It was two hours and while in retrospect they seem easy skills, it is because you are taught by someone who knows how to teach. With this very clear, solid if rudimentary class your base of knowledge is solid and allows you to practice and be able to go to the next level.

  This class was great. It was a good amount of time, not too long not too short. The class was effective and had everyone knitting by the end. Would definitely recommend!

  Darrin is a very patient and invested teacher. There was a lot of information in this class. I like all the classes at the Lion Brand, but I wish that the classes could be expanded so we have an opportunity to complete an entire project. Overall, it was an excellent class!

  This class was great! The instructor was friendly and hands on. And the best for someone who has never knitted. They will go slow and show you and demonstrate and hands-on help individually as well. A perfect class if you want to learn how to knit. And afterwards the instructor showed up the yarn store downstairs and how to pick out yarn. I can't think of anything that could of made it a better experience.

  What a great session! All that was missing was a one page handout, but the instructor was outstanding, and willing to let students experiment. I highly recommend the course.
