Melinda "Mindy" Bacon

Mindy comes from fourth generation New Jerseyans, growing up on the shore, enjoying the outdoors. After a run at a career in IT, she enlisted in the US Navy where she underwent intensive technical training as a welder. Following Active and Reserve Duty with the Navy she continued welding in the commercial structural, pipe, marine and crane industries, qualifying in several American Welding Society tests and earning an Associate Certified Welding Inspector certification. She has a total of 20 plus years of welding experience and has instructed basic welding at College of the Redwoods in Eureka, CA. Mindy has blended her industrial welding experience with a pursuit in metal sculpture, completing courses in Studio Arts at Humboldt State University, Arcata, CA.
