Both the class & the instructor was fun
Taisan was a patient and gentle.
Really fun. Nice instructor. Hard enough to leave you with a feeling of accomplishment, easy enough to let you accomplish.

We didnt learn anything about the art itself, the brushes used, what the strokes are called or anything. We launched into painting and we did 4 different things which were cool but it wasn't amazing.

Never got to experience the class because when I arrived at my booked time, I was told there was no class at that time. Giving 2 stars because the two men helping me were nice and eager to help and apologetic about this.

I absolutely loved it. Teacher was so fun, light and an overall great instructor. It was super relaxing as well. Highly recommend it!
Our instructor was great! He was very encouraging and there was something very fun and relaxing about doing the painting. It’s definitely an intro class so don’t expect to end the class with a mural but what a wonderful class! Would recommend anyone to take it.
I learned a lot on Japanese art. The instructor was fantastic, patient, and funny.
There wasn't much direction from the instructor. Instead, we just mimicked strokes he made on his own page. I was hoping for a final complete painting to take home but instead we spent most of our time just repeatedly drawing bamboo and fishes.

Really lovely course, me and my partner enjoyed it. Instructor was amazing, as was the location.
The teacher was extremely patient with us. The LIC location was ideal since it wasn’t so busy and the class was small enough such that we worked directly with Taizan. I’d go back!
Personally, I was wanting more of an academic class then entertainment. If you are looking for entertainment then you will probably like it. Other people seemed to be having fun.
