Bhola Banstola, from eastern Nepal, called at a very young age to become a shaman and initiated by his grandfather (who told him that he was the 30th generation within the family to be so chosen), holds a master’s degree in cultural anthropology from Delhi University and practiced naturopathy and herbalism in the Kathmandu Valley. An expert in Nepali culture, he has conducted extensive research on Himalayan shamanism and founded the Shamanic Research and Holistic Healing Center in Kathmandu.
