I wasn't thrilled with the class and that could be for several reasons that the instructor may not have control over. The slides were hard to read/decipher. Often times I couldn't tell where I should direct my focus - listen to the instructor or figure out what was on the screen. The instructor was knowledgable and engaging - however, I wish there was more of a beginning, middle and end to the class. At the end I felt like a conversation was left unfinished. I would urge the instructor to have a more solid idea of the story she wants to tell. Because we are not together in person - it is hard to feed off of the reactions of fellow students. The onus falls on the instructor to make things more engaging. All of the above is meant to be helpful and written with respect.

A very fun and informative class!! The downside is you have to bake it at your own home. So of you have plans after the class or you live a good distance your butter will melt.

The tour was really interesting and informative. The distance covered is really short so it is pretty much accessible for anyone although there are 2 stops where you do go down some stairs. I think from a food perspective what you taste is very good, however the amount is very small so I would consider this a walking tour to learn about food versus a walking tour for trying food. For anyone interested in learning about neighborhoods in NY I would recommend it.

The tour was a fun and educational talk about the history of the neighborhood and how it came to be little Tokyo. Lots of fun restaurants, shops, and hole in the walls to discover! We got to try many different foods known in Japan- both sweet and savory! Overall, a great and compact experience :)

Great class! I think it's the perfect starter class for pie making. I loved the space at Brainery and the teacher (and he had some support from the Brainery staff) were super relaxed and fun, but also made us feel confident that we would be successful. I both liked that it was only 90 minutes...but I would have liked maybe a 15-30 minutes extra. It was enough time, but I had recently tried a pie crust at home and knew a little of what I was doing. But for the price and what we were told to expect, it was plenty of time. I might do it again with a friend!

This was great informative class. It brought back elements of successful composition that I learned in art school. The instructor was a great communicator, showed great examples of photos that works or weren't successful. Then a quick hands on experience of taking our own photos and critique after. I think this could easily be longer or multiple sessions.

I thought the class was very informative and I learned a lot about making pie crusts. The staff was helpful and the transitions between activities were relatively smooth. I wish we would've been able to cook our pies on site instead of taking home the uncooked minis though. They didn't travel well on the ride home.

This class was a great introduction to food blogging. Having no experience with Wordpress, it was a perfect overview. The class also helped narrow down concepts in a one-on-one way. You will be shocked how quickly four hours passes!
