Jose Delgadillo was born and raised in Mendoza, Argentina where he started dancing Tango in 1994. There he trained intensively at the Ballet Guaymallen with Eduardo Terrazas and Beatriz Herrera. Amongst his other Tango instructors are Ivan Terrazas, Sara Grdan, Julio Balmaceda, Corina de la Rosa, Pablo Pugliese, Claudio Gonzales, Melina Brufman, and Anthony Cervilla "Junior". His background also includes Malambo, Zamba, Chacarera, Mambo on 2, Salsa on 2, Merengue, Bachata, Chacha, Ballet, Flamenco, and Jazz Technique. He has toured Argentina, Mexico, and the United States, performing at such events as the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia, and has appeared on Dancing with the Stars, Dance Fever, and even in the Puerto Rican Day Parade. In 2000 Jose moved to The U.S. where he taught independently and performed Tango in and around the bay area. In 2003 he decided to branch out, moved to NYC, and danced Salsa with Eddie Torrese’s Dance Company. In 2005 he joined Dance Sport, primarily as a Tango Instructor. As a performer he participated in several shows including "Raices Culturas Latinas” to celebrate Latin heritage, "The Dance of Souls Show" to commemorate the falling of the Twin Towers and in “Rhythm and Passion” which toured the U.S. to demonstrate the rich heritage of Tango and Argentine folk dancing.
