Dona started sewing clothes in her teen years. With a BA in journalism from SUNY College at Buffalo, her motto after college was the only way to build a good wardrobe is to sew. She’s been sewing fashion wear, home décor and costumes for friends and family all her life. She and her husband have been in the apparel industry designing and producing private label apparel packages for luxury brands and received start-up funding for a fashion line called Edhen. Lately Dona enjoys creating and sewing by up-cycling or repurposing existing pieces. She’s taught and mentored children and teens over the years in various settings and looks forward to working with young aspiring designers of Rochester to create their own pieces.
