Jocelyne Prince

Jocelyne Prince grew up in the Canadian prairies. She pined to see the Atlantic Ocean so she enrolled in school at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design where she received her BFA. Many years, and dance clubs later, she stayed close to the ocean and received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Jocelyne exhibits her work in Museums and alternative venues across North America, Europe and Asia. Upcoming and recent exhibitions/events include: “Emanation: Art & Process” Museum of American Glass, NJ, “Atelier LePrince ReVisited” Illingworth Kerr Gallery, Canada, “Butoh/Fiasco” Toyama, Japan, “El Greco ReVisited”, Tacoma Museum, “Oluf Høst Sunrise Revisited”, Bornholm, Denmark (Glass Context 2012), “Roda Blommor” Reyjmyre Glasbruk (Art Lab), and “Enacting the Screen”, Brick + Mortar Video Festival, Greenfield, MA. She was recently awarded the Frazier Award for Excellence in teaching and the George A. and Eliza Gardner Howard Foundation Fellowship. Jocelyne is an Associate Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design where she has taught in the Glass Department for the past 15 years.
