​Kerri Quigley  
Kerri is the creator of and instructor at The Fashion Class. While at Parsons School of Design she ran her own clothing line manufactured in NYC’s garment center & later India. Since graduation her styling and fashion work has been seen in Teen Vogue and Cosmo Magazine online. She began her fashion teaching career at The Ethical Cultural Fieldston School and Dwight Prep before starting The Fashion Class one summer. When she’s not teaching fabulous fashion to children you can find her sewing bathing suits, styling fashion shoots, or designing dog clothing!

Nina E - Illustration Instructor
Nina is an award-winning fashion illustrator and instructor based in NYC. She is also the mother of two lovely children (8 and 2 years old). She graduated from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology with a BA degree in fashion illustration and later received her MFA in illustration from California State University, Fullerton. Nina has lectured at various art schools including the Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons School of Design, the Art Institute of New York City, Columbia University, the Graphic Artists Guild, and the Children’s Book Illustrator’s Group.

Keyla M - Teaching Assistant
Keyla is a NYC native who grew up in the Bronx with a love for anything vibrant and stylish. She’s been working with children for as long as she can remember and is enrolled at York College to pursue a career in elementary education. She started at The Fashion Class as an intern where she quickly became a valued part of the team and has had the pleasure of being the only person to have assisted in classes at every single "Fashion Class" location.

Ghislaine S - Sewing Instructor
Ghislaine (or Gigi) is a costume designer and artist from Paris. After graduating with honors from Atelier Chardon Savard Fashion School in Paris she became a regular participant during Paris’ Fashion week as a Wardrobe Assistant for Issey Miyake, Smalto, Fred Sathal, Olivier and Theyskens. 

Aliya B - Sewing Instructor
Aliya is an interdisciplinary artist making installations, sculptures, and events that connect people through providing a playful and purposeful place to explore. She loves making up-cycled clothing and jewelry, imaginary-landscape quilts, three-legged stuffed animals, and delicious macrobiotic cookies. Aliya graduated from Hampshire College with a BA in Socially Engaged Art. She is currently living in Long Island City, NY and an artist-in-residence at Flux Factory.

Jene S - Fashion Instructor 
In 2009, she was a finalist in Seattle Fashion Week’s student design competition and was the only finalist still in high school. She studied bespoke tailoring in London and earned an NVQ3 while doing internships at House of Holland and Henry Poole on Savile Row. This was followed by work from the famous London-based couturier to the royal family Bruce Oldfield. 

Tracey S. - Sewing Instructor
Tracey is a costume designer with a passion for crafting. Her sewing “career” began at the age of 6 and she hasn’t stopped designing since. Tracey worked primarily on Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theater projects. After stints at the Santa Fe Opera, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and a Fox TV show, Tracey joined the team of the New York City Ballet.

Lara D. - Sewing Instructor
Lara is a costume designer for theater, opera, dance, music videos and commercials in off-Broadway and regional productions. She has been sewing, painting and embellishing fabrics since she was a young girl. Her first models were her Barbies! She moved to New York from Canada for her MFA in Design for Stage and Film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

    My daughter had a blast. She learned a lot. She actually made a set of pajama shorts. The shorts were perfectly made for a first time sewer. The instructors were great with the kids and patient. Two thumbs up. We were late and they still allowed my daughter to come into the class. Thank you!
