Dan Lerner, Dan Tomasulo & Jennifer Cory

Daniel Lerner, MAPP, is an expert in positive and performance psychologies and a faculty member at both New York University (where he teaches “The Science of Happiness”) and the University of Pennsylvania. He guest lectures/keynotes for NCAA coaches, at numerous financial institutions, as well as Carnegie Mellon University, NYU’s Steinhart School, the University of Pennsylvania, and The Wharton LeadUp, among others. He holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently writing a book to be published in Spring 2017 by Little, Brown, and Company. 

Dan Tomasulo, PhD, MFA, MAPP, Director of the New York Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (NYCAPP) program, holds a PhD in psychology, an MFA in writing, and is the first licensed psychologist and psychodramatist to graduate from the Master of Applied Positive Psychology program through the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. He is on faculty at New Jersey City University and is an assistant instructor for Martin Seligman, The Father of Positive Psychology, in the University of Pennsylvania MAPP program. He has also been a training consultant for the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College in Wyoming, developer of the Dare to be Happy experiential workshops for Kripalu, and currently teaches Positive Psychology in the graduate program of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Columbia University, Teachers College. He is the creator of Interactive-Behavioral Therapy, the most widely used form of group therapy for people with intellectual and psychiatric disabilities, and is working on his next book: American Snake Pit, a memoir about his involvement in deinstitutionalizing the residents of Willowbrook.  

Jennifer Cory, MS, MAPP, LCSW, Assistant Director of the New York Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (NYCAPP) program, is a psychotherapist in private practice in Red Bank, NJ, and chair of the board of an 85-year-old, 3rd generation logistics corporation. Jennifer draws on her clinical mastery and business acumen, merging strengths based theory, creative problem solving, and insights in individual and organizational patterns of thinking/behavior to enhance personal/professional understanding and integration of the positive psychology material in the continuing education environment. Passionately driven to helping others identify and cultivate resilience and meaning, particularly in the face of significant challenges, Jennifer is redefining what it means to flourish in life and teaching others to do the same. A lifelong learner, poet/writer, and spiritual enthusiast, Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice from Columbia University School of Social Work, and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
