Matt Nink

Matt has been the Executive Director of Global Youth Leadership Institute since 2005. During that time Matt has developed GYLI into a national leader in creating and evaluating dynamic programs for students and teachers that promote community building and global pluralism. He has presented to k-12 schools, conferences, corporations, and universities throughout the USA, as well as in Costa Rica, Panama, India, Nigeria, and the Dominican Republic. He has created engaging curriculum and measurement tools that have received national attention and focus on GYLI’s four pillars: collaborative leadership, multicultural identity, religious pluralism, and environmental sustainability.

Matt is also active in the Milwaukee Education community, serving on the board of a private school, and as a volunteer network leader for the Milwaukee Succeeds initiative. Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Boston College and a Master’s degree in English Literature from Northern Illinois University. He lives in suburban Milwaukee with his wife and their four children.

Erin English

Erin is the Director of Operations of the Stuart Center for Global Leadership and Global Youth Leadership Institute. Working closely with Matt Nink and the Stuart Center team, she manages global leadership programs at Lake Forest Academy as well as GYLI.

She holds a master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Virginia University.

When not working in the Stuart Center, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks in nature, and writing her second book after her debut teen fiction Life is ____.

Roxanne Kruger

Roxanne joined the GYLI community in 2019. She holds a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from American University and a Bachelor’s degree from Carthage College where she studied Spanish, Public Relations, and Dance. Roxanne has taught English in Mexico and Honduras and has traveled to countries in Central and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Throughout high school and college, she was able to participate in many experiential learning trips that in turn inspired her to pursue her degrees as well as a profession that allows others to find growth through exposure to new countries, cultures, and ideas. She’s excited to apply her passion for education and travel as a Program Coordinator with the Stuart Center for Global Leadership and the Global Youth Leadership Institute. She believes that the unique programs offered through GYLI enhance a student’s confidence, allowing them to reflect on their own passions and leadership capabilities.
