Pamela is the Manager of NetSuite Social Impact at Oracle, overseeing distribution of NetSuite technology donations to nonprofits and social enterprises globally. In this role, Pam serves as the strategic partnership liaison to the Global NetSuite Nonprofit Industry Sales division. With 10+ years in both corporate and nonprofit sectors, Pam has expertise in partnership cultivation, pilot programming and community engagement. Pamela served as a Director of Client Services & External Relations for a nonprofit healthcare startup in Philadelphia, as a Fundraising Campaign Manager for United Way, and spent 6 years managing an array of workforce development programs as Corporate Partnerships Manager at JEVS Human Services. Dean is the head of Digital & Technical Innovation for StoryCorps, the national oral history project – one of the largest collections of human voices ever assembled – and popular NPR/PBS broadcast. His team designs and builds technologies to further StoryCorps’ mission of preserving and sharing the stories of everyday people in effort to make the world a more just and compassionate place – like StoryCorps’ $1M TED Prize initiative to build a mobile app and platform for anyone to record and archive oral history interviews permanently at the Library of Congress. He has served as Engineer in Residence at Google’s 30 Weeks startup incubator, a Visiting Fellow at Harvard’s Nieman Foundation for Journalism, a Knight Prototype awardee, and a two-time Google Fellow to the Personal Democracy Forum. His projects at StoryCorps have earned a Webby Nomination and three Honoree titles.

Before StoryCorps, Dean founded an academic publishing service company and a boutique web development house, and he served in a leadership and/or engineering role in companies across the aviation, financial services, legal, telecommunications and fashion industries. In his free time, Dean likes to surf, consult for startups, teach workshops, write music, design, code and work on civic technology projects.

Nate Heasley
