Karrie Shirou is a Los Angeles-based writer and director of marketing for Strangely Compelling Multimedia, a PR, marketing, and localization company in the video game space. She launched over sixteen titles in 2015 across all platforms, and advised and marketed games with both independent and publisher budgets. Her 2016 client list includes Arc System Works, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Black Forest Games, Musterbrand, Funimation, and a slew of indies. She has a particular fondness for helping indies navigate the strange and confusing world of releasing a game, and is full of free tips and advice to do just that.

Prior to marketing, she worked development-side as a producer, writer, and host for League of Legends. From time to time, she moonlights as a live action fictional character, on-camera host, and circus act. Find her on Twitter at @karriebearr.
