Meghan McNamara and Chana Porter are co-founders of the Octavia Project, a Brooklyn-based non-profit that uses science fiction to encourage girls to dream big and empower them with skills to design their own futures. Chana Porter is playwright, novelist, and teacher living in Brooklyn. Meghan McNamara teaches science and ELA to adult learners and programming and game design to middle schoolers.
