Sherine Khatoun

Sherine Khatoun's passion for the art of Bellydance (Raqs Sharqi) stems from her Middle Eastern heritage, primarily influenced by her Arabic vocalist mother. Born and raised in New York City, Sherine draws from her personal experiences of traditional Middle Eastern music and dance, as well as multicultural dance genres. 

In 2013, Sherine won 1st place at the internationally acclaimed Miami Bellydance Convention (Professional Egyptian Category), earning her an invitation to teach a dance workshop at the following year's prestigious event. Sherine is a proud member of New York’s Arabic music and dance ensemble, Zikrayat. She had the honor of dancing with the highly acclaimed music group, Alabina for several concerts in New York City, and Atlantic City. She has performed as principal dancer with Jehan Kamal’s off-broadway show, Goddessdance, and collaborated with New York's theatrical world fusion dance company, The Dalia Carella Dance Collective.
