Question from Morgan C.
Hi! I'm signed up for the New York botanical garden fundamentals of form class. I saw that I need to purchase a floral tool kit. What is in that? How do I go about doing that? Thank you! -Morgan
Answer from Georgia C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Morgan! You are welcome to source your own tools (a pair of floral clippers are the primary item you’ll need), but the school sell 4-piece toolkits for $89 if you like to purchase one from them. They are available at the Midtown office, and you can purchase one on-site before your class. The kit includes Floral clippers, a floral knife, wire cutters, and ribbon shears. In a NYBG zippered pouch.

The course was a nice size - only 7 - which made working on Zoom manageable. The teacher, Nsombi Woodson, was excellent. She was very clear and direct and she gave multiple hands on demonstrations. She was polite and kind with critiques. She always found positive things to say and she had excellent input on student's projects. It would be helpful if she was a little clearer on what the expectations for each project was, but, maybe that was her intent. She may have wanted us to use our creativity to flesh out the details. A satisfied customer; I will be taking more classes.

Trish O'Sullivan was a very supportive instructor. She provided great strategies for utilizing materials and creating beautiful arrangements. I'll definitely use these techniques as I continue to arrange flowers.
