Ready to step away from your laptop and the incessant “ding!” of emails, text messages, and Slack requests? Join us for a new workshop where you can slow down and put your hands and mind to work in new ways by exploring the basics of hand building using air dry clay.
A mindful practice that has captivated people for centuries, working with clay helps you to build a mind/body connection by focusing on your immediate interaction with the material.
Using your hands and a few simple tools you’ll learn how to roll out your clay and create shapes, attach pieces together, how to make a slip and more. Resulting in a beautiful handmade dish you can use for keys, jewelry, candles, whatever your heart desires!
In this workshop you will learn:
This is a 2-part class, part 1 will cover the absolute basics of working with air dry clay and pottery tools to create your dishes. Part 2 will cover finishing and painting your dishes after they have dried. Each class will be 2 hours.
And this is how a CraftJam works:
After you purchase your ticket, you will receive an email from with instructions on how to login and join the virtual workshop.
Please note: While participating in a virtual workshop, we require video participation. Unlike traditional webinars, we’re keeping our classes small and intimate. CraftJam was founded to foster community amongst its community and part of this is seeing and interacting with each other as well as the option to receive feedback and support for your projects from your JamMaster.
