A traditional and complete curriculum of Tai Chi includes the following:

Stretching Exercises – Build range of motion and tendon strength.
Posture Holding – Standing motionless, holding a pose, to develop strength and Qi.
Technique Drills – Practice sequences of short sections of individual moves.
Tai Chi Hand Form – This is the slow motion, dance like sequence, that most students focus on.
Tai Chi Sword and other weapons – Most styles of Tai Chi contain a sword form, a few have a complete selection of traditional weapons forms.
