Mercedes Bent is a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm focused on accelerating disruptive innovations and trends in the Enterprise and Consumer sectors. The firm currently manages over $6 billion of committed capital.

To date, Lightspeed has backed more than 350 companies, including Snapchat (Snap Inc.), AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco for $3.7B), Nest, Stitch Fix, Bonobos, The Honest Company and DoubleClick (acquired by Google after IPO). The fund has 24 early stage enterprise investments that have gone public, the most of any fund in the world.

Previously, Mercedes served as an executive at a VR startup and a General Manager at General Assembly where she oversaw a multi-million dollar business lines during periods of explosive growth. She was named a 40 under 40 for Tech Diversity.
