Yin Flight is a low fly flight class where lowered hammocks provide a wonderful prop to assist in yin postures that are held for longer periods of time.
Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissue of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Yin is also a more meditative approach to yoga, aiming at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. It is designed to help regulate the flow of energy in the body.
Yin Flight is unique in that you are asked to relax in the posture, soften the muscle and move closer to the bone. While Flight Flow practices are more superficial, Yin offers a much deeper access to the body. The time spent in these postures is meditative. You might notice similar postures to a yang (Flight Flow) class except they are treated a little differently, this helps the mind shift form yang to yin, active to passive.
